Michelle B. Brookshire advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters arising under federal and state law, including:

  • Discrimination

  • Family and medical leave policies
  • Wage and hour disputes

She handles all matters related to employment litigation, including oral arguments, in state and federal courts and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Michelle has particular experience with claims involving Title VII, the Equal Pay Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as with covenants not to compete, other employment contracts and trade secrets. She also represents clients in both individual and class action wage and hour disputes. Notably, she was part of a team defending a multinational information technology corporation in a collective action seeking unpaid overtime wages.
