Maiko Nakarai-Kanivas advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment and labor matters arising under federal and state laws, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour matters, and class actions. She has experience representing employers in federal and state court litigation, and before federal and state agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Additionally, Maiko counsels employers regarding employment policies, employee handbooks, and individual employment agreements.
In law school, Maiko was executive editor of the New York University Law Review.
