Lena K. Sims represents employers in federal and state court litigation, arbitrations, and in administrative proceedings throughout California in claims involving:
- Trade secret misappropriation
- Employee solicitation
- Employment discrimination and harassment
- Wrongful termination
- Breach of contract
- Class-wide wage and hour violations
Her trial successes include a defense jury verdict in an independent contractor misclassification case and a defense jury verdict for an employer accused of trade secret misappropriation, interference with customer relationships and unlawful solicitation of employees.
Additionally, Lena has presented numerous times before management and human resources professionals on topics including trade secrets, employee mobility, sexual harassment and discrimination, and California wage and hour training for small businesses.
Working with both for profit and non-profit clients, Lena has experience working in a diverse range of industries, including:

- Computer technology
- Market research
She is a member of the Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets practice group and the Class Action Litigation practice group.
Previously, Lena served as a judicial clerk to District Judge Napoleon A. Jones, Jr., United States District Court, Southern District of California and to Magistrate Judge Nita L. Stormes, United States District Court, Southern District of California. She also was a judicial extern to District Judge Lawrence K. Karlton, United States District Court, Eastern District of California.
