Littler

Kara L. Jassy has practiced employment litigation and counseling since graduating from law school in 1998. She represents employers in state and federal courts and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing in matters of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and wage and hour claims.

She also counsels employers on day-to-day issues regarding:

  • Employee discipline and termination
  • Workplace investigations
  • Medical leaves
  • Wage and hour compliance

Additionally, Kara has experience conducting in-person training seminars on a variety of employment law topics. She has presented and trained professional groups in specialized areas of employment law, including:

  • Sexual harassment
  • Workplace investigations
  • Employment discrimination
  • Effective management
  • Disability accommodations

In law school Kara was a semi-finalist in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, served on the Board as an editor and was a member of the National Moot Court Team. After graduating from college, she worked in human resources gaining experience with benefits and administration.
