Overview

Judith A. Paulson focuses her practice on defending employers against discrimination and willful misconduct claims before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, specifically handling actions brought under Labor Code sections 4553 and 132a. She also has represented employers in civil litigation in state and federal courts and before government agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Office of Labor Commissioner, and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Additionally, Judith counsels clients in many aspects of the employment relationship, including:

  • Drafting and revising personnel policies
  • Implementing leave of absence policies
  • Processing terminations

She has authored numerous articles on employment issues and has conducted training seminars on employment matters, including how to avoid sexual harassment claims.
