John M. Skonberg specializes in the representation of management in all aspects of labor and employment law, including:
- Collective bargaining and representation before the NLRB

He appears in federal and California state courts, and also represents clients in administrative hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and the National Labor Relations Board. He has specific expertise handling claims that arise under:
- The National Labor Relations Act
- Title VII
- The Americans with Disabilities Act
- The Family and Medical Leave Act
- The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act
- The California Labor Code
- The California Family Rights Act
John also provides compliance counseling and has presented numerous seminars on various aspects of labor and employment law to trade associations and other employer groups. His clients include:

John is currently Chair of Littler's Traditional Labor Law Practice Group and a core member of the International Employment Law Practice Group. He also serves on Littler's Nominating Committee for the Board of Directors and on the Hiring Committee. Prior to joining Littler, he worked as a trial attorney for the NLRB and as an assistant to an NLRB board member.
