Littler

Jessica B. Wilson focuses her practice on claims involving:

  • Title VII
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Discrimination
  • Retaliation

She represents clients in jury trials, on appeal, in arbitration and mediation, and in Department of Labor audits and class action wage and hour suits. Skilled at thinking outside the box and crafting strong, succinct arguments, she provides her clients with effective solutions.

Jessica also advises clients on litigation avoidance, reasonable accommodation, Fair Labor Standards Act classification and overtime issues. In addition to working with architects, she represents and advises musicians in contractual negotiations and other duties and obligations.

Additionally, Jessica has written numerous briefs and has given presentations to business executives and human resources professionals regarding:

  • The classification of employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Pitfalls regarding misclassification of employees
  • Overtime disputes

Prior to working at Littler Mendelson, Jessica worked at another firm, where she managed overtime class actions, oversaw Department of Labor Audits, and successfully argued before the appellate court, creating a new precedent in the vacatuer of an arbitrator.

In 2001, Jessica served as a judicial extern for the late Honorable Chief Judge Jerry Buchmeyer, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas. She also worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Justice Ben Z. Grant, Texas Court of Appeals, Sixth District, Texarkana, Texas, from 2002 to 2003. In law school, she was editor of the Computer Law Review and Technology Journal.
