Jennifer Mora’s labor and employment practice is unique in that she not only has broad subject matter experience, but she has developed a special expertise in and regularly advises employers and consumer reporting agencies on the intersection of federal and state background check laws (e.g., Title VII and the Fair Credit Reporting Act and their state law equivalents). She also regularly defends employers and consumer reporting agencies in federal and state courts against claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and its state law equivalents. She writes extensively on background screening issues and has given numerous presentations on the topic.

Jennifer also represents and counsels employers in all aspects of traditional labor law, including investigating and responding to unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board, assisting employers with collective bargaining negotiations and union campaigns, and arbitrating grievances involving employee discharges and contract interpretation issues. She interned with Region 19 of the National Labor Relations Board during law school.

Jennifer also has extensive experience defending employers in state and federal courts with a focus on litigating disability and failure to accommodate claims. Prior to joining Littler in 2007, she focused her practice exclusively on representing and defending employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters and has been doing so her entire career.
