Galen M. Lichtenstein represents and counsels employers in all aspects of employment and labor law, including:

Regularly appearing in state and federal courts, his diverse labor and employment practice includes handling bench trials and arguing dispositive motions, as well as representing clients before the National Labor Relations Board and in hearings with the California Labor Commissioner. Galen has specific experience handling claims under Title VII, the National Labor Relations Act, the California Labor Code, and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. He also represents employers in collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations, mediations, and compliance counseling. While Galen represents clients from a wide variety of industries, one of his primary focus areas is the “gig economy” and helping clients defend against claims of independent contractor misclassification. In addition, Galen regularly works with FinTech clients and other companies in the tech space, as well as clients in the hospitality, venture capital, automotive, healthcare, energy, retail, government consulting, and advertising industries.

Galen is a long-serving member of the Hiring Committee in Littler’s San Francisco office.
