Littler

David M. Weiner's practice focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation. He has experience in all elements of the pay package, and his advice relates to both the strategic and technical aspects of benefits and compensation. David assists companies involved in mergers and acquisitions with respect to the implications of federal tax and securities laws on benefits and compensation arrangements. He has also advised clients with the employee benefits aspects of relationships with independent contractors and leased employees.

David has worked extensively to assist clients with the design and compliance challenges of healthcare reform. He has moderated several webinars on healthcare reform and co-authored many summaries of developments in this area. He is also a co-author of a treatise on executive compensation and a frequent speaker at seminars on benefits and compensation issues. 

Before joining Littler, David was co-chair of the Welfare Benefits Practice Group at another law firm. Previously, he was also a principal in the Executive Compensation Group of an international compensation and benefits consulting firm, and a partner at a major Chicago law firm, where he headed the firm's employee benefits and executive compensation practice. David is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
