Chris Howard represents management in all types of employment law matters, with a focus on providing strategic consulting and training to assist employers in preventing workplace problems and on trial advocacy when employers must defend their rights.
Chris has successfully defended clients as first and second chair trial counsel and has obtained summary judgment in numerous cases in state and federal courts. His experience includes matters involving:
- Wage and hour
- Race, gender, disability, and age discrimination
- Retaliation
- Breach of contract
- Non-compete
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration claims
Additionally, Chris has presented training materials to numerous trade groups and human resources professionals on topics such as:
- Immigration
- Leave
- Discrimination
- Harassment
Previously, Chris served as an intern for Justice Harold See of the Supreme Court of Alabama and for Justice Erlinda Castillo of the Texas Court of Appeals, 13th District. In law school, he was senior articles editor of the Computer and Technology Law Review.
