Ashley Frankson advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment and labor law matters arising under state and federal laws, including: The Family and Medical Leave Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code. She has
- Defended an energy management company against a breach of contract claim alleging the former employee was improperly terminated
- Defended plan sponsors and fiduciaries in several ERISA cases involving denial of benefits claims
- Represented multiple clients in four separate cases seeking injunctive relief related to non-compete agreements in both state and federal court
- Presented opening statement, closing argument, and cross-examined several witnesses in a $65 million bench trial that lasted five days and resulted in a defense verdict
- Participated in defending a large restaurant chain against Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) class action alleging that it improperly applied tip pool
Ashley served as a legislative fellow for the Children at Risk organization from 2008 to 2010 and drafted legislative bills to improve public education and the foster care system. In law school, Ashley was a mock trial director for the Board of Advocates and the staff editor of Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.
