April N. Love represents management clients in a broad range of  labor and employment issues, including employment discrimination, workplace harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour law, and traditional labor. April also advises employers regarding discipline, termination, and best workplace practices.

In addition to representing employers in single-plaintiff litigation, April has defended employers against complex class and collective actions arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, with particular experience in misclassification issues in the mortgage loan industry.

April has represented a variety of employers in state and federal court litigation, as well as in employment arbitrations, mediations, collective bargaining, and union elections. She regularly defends employers under investigation by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state civil rights agencies.

April authors monthly case notes regarding emerging traditional labor law issues as a reporter for Bender’s California Labor and Employment Bulletin.

While in law school, April clerked at a plaintiff-side labor and employment firm. She also served as articles editor of the Social Justice Law Review and president of the Black Law Students Association.
