Allison R. Cohn advises and represents employers in a wide array of employment and labor law matters arising under federal and state laws. She regularly practices in state and federal courts and has significant experience asserting claims of defamation and defending against claims of:
- Wrongful termination
- Wrongful denial of benefits
- Constructive discharge
- Discrimination on the basis of race, religion, national origin, disability, and gender
- Sexual harassment
- Retaliation
Recently Allison testified before the Judiciary Committee of the Colorado Senate in support of Senate Bill 2, which establishes civil unions in the State, on behalf of the Anti-Defamation League.
Allison began her career as an associate at a law firm in New York and also worked at a firm in Denver, where she focused on general commercial litigation and class action defense. In law school, she was articles editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law.
