Littler

Allan represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law and civil litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout Texas and beyond, with an emphasis on:

  • Unfair competition
  • Theft of trade secrets
  • Breach of confidence and loyalty
  • Discrimination
  • Harassment
  • Retaliation

Among his notable successes, Allan secured injunctions enforcing non-compete agreements in three consecutive cases involving quantitative analysts in the high frequency trading industry. He has led teams in complex multi-jurisdictional disputes that resulted in the protection of millions of dollars of intellectual property.

In addition to his litigation practice, Allan advises, counsels, and trains employers on strategies and practices to avoid litigation, protect confidential information and trade secrets, guard against unfair competition, and comply with state and federal employment laws. He is an active member of the firm's Competition and Trade Secret Law practice.

Allan also is a frequent author and speaker on matters involving unfair competition, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants, as well as general employment law matters. Following law school, Allan served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mary Lou Robinson, United States District Judge, Northern District of Texas.
