Labor & Employment Litigation Experience
The firm’s Venezuela office has represented a whole host of clients before a number of labor courts and defended employer against complaints and suits filed by employees and labor authorities. Currently, the Venezuela office is handling more than 200 trials and trial-type proceedings and approximately 300 hundred labor charges issued by administrative agencies.
Labor Relations (Union Matters)
Littler Venezuela represents employers in their collective bargaining agreements and major labor disputes, from negotiation to resolution. Littler counsels clients regarding all forms of employment termination and mass lay off. The firm currently represents employers in the negotiation of labor conditions that cover more than 90,000 employees. We also aid our clients in the dismissal of protected category personnel.
Latin American Labor & Employment Practice
Littler Venezuela is used by a great variety of clients to represent employers in their regional matters, such as: incorporation of the company in a new country; independent contractors issues (hiring and termination); transferring employees; cross border labor and tax issues; international labor audits and compliance checks; international policies and codes of conduct; and any specific labor and employment issue that arises in any specific country in the region. We regularly provide guidance and coordinate client interests across the region, drawing on our broad prior experience and local contacts/counsel as needed in each jurisdiction.
