As the largest legal firm exclusively dedicated to providing employment and labor law solutions worldwide, we understand that Littler has a responsibility to take a leadership role in environmental matters. These include the use of environmentally-friendly products and services, implementing sustainable energy programs, and promoting environmental stewardship in the lives of our employees at work and in their communities.

Green Initiatives Committee

The Green Initiatives Committee is a group of staff and attorneys who identify and implement the firm’s environmentally-favorable solutions. Throughout the year, the committee sponsors programs that support recycling efforts as well as giving back to the greater community. Such programs include OneSight, Soles 4 Souls and Lions Clubs International – SightFirst.

Technology and Infrastructure

Moving toward a virtual environment helps Littler reduce its physical computer infrastructure, resulting in a large reduction of power consumption and a significant reduction of CO2 emissions. In addition, Littler's electronic records initiatives help move us closer to a paperless environment.

The firm also provides employees with the tools required to work remote when opportunities arise. This not only aids flexibility, but reduces commuting times and unnecessary travel.

Recycling and Waste Reduction

Littler is committed to:

  • Reducing our consumption of office paper
  • Using recycled stationery
  • Purchasing environmentally-friendly office and kitchen supplies
  • Creating partnerships with environmentally-conscious companies

As a result of our paper-management efforts, the American Bar Association has recognized Littler's participation in the ABA EPA Law Office Climate Challenge Initiative, and for setting an example of environmental stewardship.

In an effort to reduce our consumption of plastic water bottles, Littler has installed systems to dispense both sparkling water and filtered tap water in many offices.

All Littler attorneys and staff have opportunities to participate in the firm’s commitment to green initiatives.
