Status of the Reform Agenda: Update on Federal Developments in Year One of the Obama Administration

Please join speakers Tom Flaherty,  Elizabeth Lalik and Ilyse Schuman as they review the significant early developments in the Obama era, including the 2009 Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the National Defense Authorization Act amendments to the FMLA, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), and recent Executive Orders affecting government contractors, as well as updates on pending health care reform legislation, the Employee Free Choice Act, and other proposed employment legislation.

Ilyse Schuman joined Littler this Fall after serving as Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and as a primary author of GINA.  She previously worked as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company.

Time: 12:15 - 2:00 p.m.
