The workplace, like any place, is not free from the threat of violence by current and former employees or other outsiders. Employment laws require that employers provide their employees with safe workplaces and take measures to protect them from threats and acts of violence. Our seminar will discuss these matters, focusing on providing the answers to some key inquiries:

  • How can you evaluate the risk of violence in your workplace?
  • What should be included in your workplace violence policy?
  • What can you do to prohibit employees and other third parties from bringing guns and other weapons into the workplace?
  • What are your rights, and obligations, to search employee property and vehicles for weapons?
  • How should you respond to acts of violence or reports of threatening behavior?
  • Is your level of emergency preparedness sufficient? What security measures should you put in place to protect employees?

Please join us for this very important seminar and learn what your obligations are in assessing your risk vulnerability, preparedness, response protocols, and other crisis prevention. Our panel will help you sharpen your ability to spot danger effectively, react quickly, and provide sound leadership in the face of danger.
