Littler Partner Philip Gordon and co-panelists will discuss the evolving laws requiring notice to individuals when employee data is stolen or accessed without authorization. Mr. Gordon will specifically address "notice of security breach" obligations for employers. The panelists will also discuss best practices for managing these situations from the perspective of data owners as well as vendors who may be provided with employee data in order to perform work for a client. In addition, they will address legal restrictions on employee surveillance, such as the monitoring of email, in the U.S. and Europe, as well as respective company policies in this area.
