Managing employee leaves of absence requires employers to navigate a complex and ever-changing maze of employment laws – including the ADA and FMLA at the federal level, and additional laws at the state level. With the increase in government enforcement action and employee discrimination and retaliation claims, the complexity of managing leaves and the associated legal risks continue to grow.
