Practical Advice on Navigating Through the New FMLA Regulations and ADA Amendments

Managing employees with medical conditions can often trap employers in a complicated legal web that involves the intersection of the Family and Medical leave Act (FMLA), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), Workers’ Compensation, and state disability and leave laws. Issues related to leaves of absence have been further complicated by the issuance of new FMLA regulations and recent amendments to the ADA.

Please join us on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 for an engaging and informative update on how these developments involving FMLA and ADA rights will affect employers. During the program, we will cover:

  • Highlights of the amendments to the ADA
  • Developments in the law of reasonable accommodation of persons with disabilities
  • The interplay between the FMLA and the ADA
  • The FMLA’s new family military leave requirements
