In 2014, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) continued to aggressively push its Strategic Enforcement Plan, with significant impact on all employers. Now that the EEOC has a full five-member panel with a Democratic majority, the EEOC is well-positioned to continue to aggressively pursue its Plan in 2015.

This Breakfast Briefing will review key EEOC developments in 2014 and provide insight into what to anticipate in 2015. Topics to be covered include:

  • Key statistics, including the most common types of EEOC Charges being filed and being pursued by the EEOC in litigation,
  • Littler’s top ten list of what to watch for in FY 2015, including employer obligations involving pregnant workers, challenges to releases and arbitration programs, rights of LGBT workers, EEOC challenges to use of criminal history in the hiring process,
  • A “report card” on the EEOC’s efforts in its Strategic Enforcement Plan, including an update on key cases, and
  • Final takeaways for EEOC compliance in 2015

This is an important opportunity to get fully informed, gain increased understanding and develop proactive strategies for complying with the EEOC’s strategic initiatives.
