On Thursday, August 25th, Littler is holding the second in its series of webinars addressing current immigration developments that affect HR and legal departments. This webinar will discuss the recent spike in administrative delays at US Consulates around the world due to enhanced security background checks. These delays affect an increasing number of visa holders and often lead to individuals being stranded abroad for weeks or even months. The presentation will provide background to this growing trend, practice pointers on identifying proactively who may be subject to these delays, and how to handle employees when such a delay occurs. Securing congressional assistance, terminating employees while abroad, Consular advocacy and procedural relief will be discussed.
