Please join us for this inaugural event for Littler's St. Louis office and opportunity to meet Littler's newest group of attorneys.

Given that 90 percent of information in today’s digital world is stored electronically, it’s no surprise that issues surrounding e-discovery continue to dominate current legal headlines.  Moreover, as the sanctions landscape widens (recent cases have not only sanctioned clients, but also in-house and retained counsel for e-discovery misconduct), it is more critical than ever to be familiar with current trends and “best practices” in this rapidly developing area of the law.

This session is for anyone whose job entails any aspect of managing litigation, designing and implementing litigation readiness and compliance programs, or electronic records management. In it, the Managing Shareholder of Littler Mendelson’s St. Louis offices will join the Firm’s National E-Discovery Counsel, a nationally recognized thought leader with respect to e-discovery matters, to offer practical insight and guidance on the following issues with respect to e-discovery:

  • A review of statistics and seminal cases that lay the fundamental groundwork for this area of the law;
  • Practical, risk-management take aways concerning a wide spectrum of issues, from properly implementing litigation holds, to determining when it is appropriate or necessary to involve an e-discovery expert in your case; to strategies for streamlining the harvesting, processing and review of electronically stored information;
  • A review of how the electronic discovery amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure are being applied in practice by the Federal Courts one year after their enactment; and
  • A look at how Missouri and Illinois courts have dealt with E-Discovery issues provided by Littler's St. Louis attorneys.
