Furloughs, job sharing, reduced work schedules, across-the-board pay cuts, temporary leaves of absences without pay, attrition, pay freezes, hiring freezes and demotions...these are just some of the measures taken by employers -- many of which have already done reductions in force to cut costs during these recessionary times.

We will discuss the alternatives to layoffs that companies are embracing, and provide actual case studies of companies succeeding.

The speakers will be Craig Benson and Jean Schmidt, shareholders in Littler's New York Office.

Special guest speaker Beth R. Moss, Director and Assistant General Counsel, Human Resources Legal Department, Pitney Bowes Inc. will present her unique "in-house" perspective during this briefing.
