4th Annual Public Sector Employment Law Update

Thursday, February 14

  • 8:00 AM PST
Surprise, AZ

The public sector workplace is changing before our very eyes. Your future is being determined right now in Congress, the courts, the enforcement agencies, and the Arizona legislature. Dramatic swings in the economy, pressure to shrink the size of the public sector and its ability to reduce costs by relying on contingent and flexible workers, technology and available resources will forever change your daily routine.

To help you persevere, the City of Surprise and the law firm of Littler Mendelson have put together an Employment Law Update for 2013. During this program for human resources leaders and legal counsel, Littler attorneys will identify and discuss the most important developments in federal and Arizona labor and employment law in the public sector. Additionally, we will provide practical suggestions for responding to and implementing necessary changes in your workplace to assist you in responding to new developments.

Join us on Valentine's Day to share our love of employment and labor law topics, including:

  • Absence makes the heart grow fonder: Managing leaves of absence
  • Issues at the heart of healthcare reform
  • To have and to hold, to meet and confer: Can collective bargaining work in the public sector?
  • Employment law update: Gotta love those crazy rulings!

Reserve your seat early, as space is limited.
