Paralegal
Job Duties
Will work directly with attorneys and perform a variety of duties to assist attorneys in the litigation process. Must be able to make independent decisions regarding cases and be able to initiate contact with clients, attorneys and other involved parties. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Client file organization
- Chronology, table, chart, graph creation
- Subpoena documents
- Document analysis
- E-Discovery document management
- Exhibit preparation
- Discovery, motion, stipulation, affidavit, scheduling order, disclosures drafting
- Internet research using public and private databases
- Assist attorneys in preparation of a case for trial
Requirements
Applicants must have 8-10 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment, preferably in the area of labor and employment law. A four year college degree is preferred, and an advanced degree in a related field or a paralegal certificate is highly desirable. Must be proficient in Word 2010 and Excel, be detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills. This position requires an individual with the ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines and adjust to workload fluctuations in a fast paced environment.
