Littler Mendelson’s Jaffe Dickerson Recognized as Top "California Rainmaker"

October 2009

The Daily Journal Spotlights Dickerson Among the Top Ten Leading Attorneys in California for 2009

Los Angeles, CA (October 22, 2009) -- Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, is proud to announce that Jaffe Dickerson, a senior shareholder in the Los Angeles office, has been recognized by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal as a "leading rainmaker in California."

"Jaffe is an exceptional lawyer with an excellent reputation among his clients for providing innovative solutions and extraordinary service," commented Robert Blumberg, office managing shareholder of Littler’s Los Angeles office. "We are both honored and thrilled to see the California legal community recognize his achievements."

A key consideration in Dickerson’s recognition has been his ability to keep his clients out of the courtroom, or "litigation avoidance" as Dickerson refers to it, which is crucial in a challenging economy.
As the co-chair of Littler’s Diversity and Inclusion Compliance Practice Group, Dickerson dedicates time helping Firm clients and other businesses attract minority talent while reducing litigation risks. In addition, clients repeatedly rely on Dickerson’s sound guidance to develop hiring practices and training programs to further reduce litigation exposure in uncertain economic times.

Dickerson also plays an instrumental role in the expansion strategies of the Firm’s Global Employer Practice. While the world continues to migrate towards a global economy, the focus of many U.S.-based labor and employment law firms has been directed toward Europe and Asia. Dickerson is focused on American and African business alliances. As these alliances grow, new challenges and opportunities will face employers. Dickerson and the Global Employer Practice plan to remain at the forefront of these developments.

The Daily Journal’s annual "Rainmakers" feature spotlights lawyers who "represent the future of the legal industry." The distinction goes beyond simply recognizing attorneys who excel at bringing in new clients and projects for their firms, it also honors professionals who make outstanding efforts to share their skill.
This year’s edition highlights how 10 rainmakers in the state of California managed to not only survive, but thrive, in a downturn economy.
