Biography
James M.L. Ferber is the Office Managing Shareholder of Littler's Columbus, Ohio office and Co-Chair of the Firm's National Labor Relations Practice Group. He is also a member of Littler's International Employment Law Practice. From an industry perspective, Mr. Ferber is a member of the Firm's Health Care, Hospitality and Retail Practice Groups. He has represented employers in various industries ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, on cases throughout the United States. He has been involved in over 100 union organizing campaigns, multiple labor arbitration cases and collective bargaining negotiations and has defended almost 300 employment lawsuits in more than 50 federal and state courts. Mr. Ferber also consults with U.S. and Canadian-based multi-national companies on international labor and employment issues. He has taught labor and employment law in Japan as an adjunct professor of Capital University School of Law and formerly served as Special Labor Counsel to the Mayor of Columbus. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Ferber was a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. Before joining Littler, he was chair of the labor and employment department of a multi-practice law firm in Columbus.

Mr. Ferber is admitted to practice in Ohio and in Pennsylvania, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 10th Circuits, and six U.S. District Courts. He has been admitted pro hac vice in 27 other federal district courts and in a number of state courts.
