There is no question that being an attorney brings a certain amount of pressure to your life. But, at Littler, we value our employees as people and understand that “attorney” is just one of the many important roles they play in their lives. We assist our attorneys in maintaining a balance by offering:
- Telecommuting – While our attorneys are expected to be available to serve our clients and to provide top-quality advice, this can occasionally be accomplished by working from home, depending on the nature of the work. We offer the required technical support.
- Part-time – Littler offers reduced-hours schedules to help associates achieve their balance. Upon receipt of approval, an associate may work on a part-time basis, while continuing to work toward shareholder.
- Personal (non-medical) Leaves of Absence – An attorney who has worked with Littler for at least one year may request a Personal Leave of Absence without pay for a reasonable period of time, subject to approval.
There is also no way to quantify or categorize the respect Littler’s management affords its attorneys. Throughout the Firm, stories of how Littler accommodates the unique needs of specific individuals abound. At Littler, we are always looking internally to ensure that we are developing policies and career tracks that encourage people with different lifestyles and at different stages of career development to remain engaged and focused.
