To hire our summer and entry-level associates, we conduct on-campus and job fair interviews for second and third year law students at numerous U.S. law schools. We often also interview students from other schools who apply directly.

Littler recruits highly qualified lawyers with outstanding academic records throughout the United States. Openings for lateral associates depend upon the needs of the particular office. As our offices’ needs to hire qualified lateral attorneys vary constantly, we do not list openings on this website. If you are interested in specializing as a labor and employment attorney for any of our offices, please apply directly, indicating your office preference(s).

The hiring process begins with a screening of your resume and transcript. We are most interested in your interest and previous experience in employment and labor law, other employment experience, grades, and participation in journals and other extra-curricular activities. After reviewing your resume and transcript we will notify you as to whether you have been selected for an interview. We generally will advise you of such within two weeks of receipt of your resume.

Because of the volume of resumes we receive, we regret that we cannot respond to inquiries as to the status of your application.

If you are invited to interview, you can expect to meet with several attorneys (typically a combination of shareholders and associates) at the office where you have indicated a preference to work. Based on our sense of your qualifications and fit with the firm – and of equal importance, your sense that Littler would be a good fit for you – the office will make a decision about potential employment.
